Spacious cottage in heart of town

Our week at The Wheel House was great! It’s location on Albert Street was perfect - close to town centre shops, beach, harbour and railway station. Beds were comfy, showers worked well and the little garden was a real sun trap! We’ve been to Whitstable many times for day trips and weekend visits, but this was the first time we stayed all week. Plenty to keep us and our dog busy. Tasty meals at JoJo’s in Tankerton, The Sportsman in Seasalter, Samphire and Windy Corner Stores in Whitstable. Delicious beer in The Black Dog, beautiful sunsets from The Old Neptune. We’ll be back next summer.

Accommodation Details

The Wheel House is a charming 3 bedroom mid-terrace cottage in the heart of Whitstable's conservation area. The cottage provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for up to 6 people and has the advantage of WiFi and Sky TV.

It is ideal for anyone with limited mobility, as there is a downstairs bedroom with an ensuite shower and wc. The Wheelhouse is ideally located just a few minutes from the shops, restaurants and beach and is perfect for friends and family.

Ground Floor:
The front door leads you into the lounge with a 2 and 3 seater sofa, wall mounted flat screen TV with Blu-Ray DVD player and full SKY package.

There is a spacious separate dining room with large table, 6 chairs and dresser.

The newly fitted galley kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washingmachine, microwave and a foldaway breakfast table with 4 chairs.

The kitchen leads through to the downstairs bedroom and ensuite. The bedroom is furnished with a standard double bed and chest of drawers and peg rail for hanging clothes. The room has a high ceiling with velux window and French doors leading to the outside courtyard with patio furniture.

The ensuite has a step in shower cubicle with glass doors, toilet, basin and heated towel rail.

First Floor:
There is a lovely twin bedroom at the front of the house with two standard single beds, large pine wardrobe and bedside cabinets with drawers.

The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed, large triple wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Access to the family bathroom is through the master bedroom. This modern and bright bathroom is equipped with a bath and overhead shower, large basin and toilet.


Dog Policy

Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of £15. However, under no circumstances are dogs permitted upstairs or on the sofa or chairs. Dogs must not be left unattended in properties, or elsewhere and should be exercised outside the property gardens or grounds.  If you do not adhere to these conditions, some of the cautionary deposit may be retained by the owner.


There is no private parking at this property. Un-restricted free parking can be found on street in the conservation areas, Nelson Road and Cornwallis Circle (subject to spaces available on the day). Alternatively you can use the Pay & Display car parks in the town centre charged between 10am and 9pm at a cost of £1.20 per hour (excludes short term at Harbour & Oyster car park).
Alternatively you can use where you can pre book a space on a private driveway.

RENTAL PERIODS: Weekly rentals from Saturday - Saturday during school holidays. Weekend and mid-week breaks available in low and shoulder seasons.
