"We stayed at the Deckhouse for a week in November. The house was a good size for us, five adults and a child. My daughter loved the fact there were toys in the house she could play with. The bedrooms were a good size as were the bathrooms. The kitchen was really well stocked also. The location was ideal, close to the beach and local shops and restaurants." C Rose.
 

 

Accommodation Details

This unique mid-terraced 3 bedroom shipwright's cottage is located on fashionable Island Wall, just a stone's throw from the beach, enjoys sea views and is within 10 minutes walk of the town's shops, restaurants and pubs. The cottage offers a spacious living and dining area; three bedrooms (one ensuite); and a charming large courtyard garden for summer evenings.

There is the benefit of private parking for one car at the rear of the property. 

Ground Floor:

The entrance porch from the road leads you via the hall and landing to the living area, kitchen and upstairs twin bedroom. The living area has a large contemporary L-shaped sofa and 2 seater sofa, TV, DVD player and woodburning stove.

The dining area has table and chars that seat 6 and leads onto a balcony and steps to the charming courtyard garden.

There is a small twin bedroom which is furnished with two single beds on the floor (suitable for young or older children) with a chest of drawers and plenty of books for the kids.

The modern kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and fridge/freezer.

There is a cloakroom with wc and basin.
 

Lower Ground Floor:

An old ship's mast runs through the two large double bedrooms of this cottage. The main bedroom has a king size bed, large chest of drawers, hanging rail and shower and wc ensuite.

The second bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers and peg rail with hangers.

The modern bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, basin and toilet.

The lower level hallway has an air hockey table for the kids or grown ups, and leads out to the courtyard garden.

 

 

Dog Policy

Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of £15. However, under no circumstances are dogs permitted upstairs or on the sofa or chairs. Dogs must not be left unattended in properties, or elsewhere and should be exercised outside the property gardens or grounds.  If you do not adhere to these conditions, some of the cautionary deposit may be retained by the owner.

Restrictions

This is a strictly non-smoking property and pets are not allowed.
The twin beds are not suitable for adults with mobility issues as they are low on the ground.

RENTAL PERIODS: Weekly rentals from Saturday - Saturday during school holidays. Weekend and mid-week breaks available in low and shoulder seasons.
