This fabulously unique 4 bedroom house is the perfect Whitstable seaside holiday home located right on the beach in Whitstable. The house enjoys wonderful sea views and offers a rare opportunity to stay in a large family home on Island Wall in the heart of Whitstable. It has spacious accommodation throughout with a large kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, a spacious first floor lounge, 4 very good size bedrooms ( 2 doubles & 2 twin rooms), as well as 2 ensuite bathrooms, 1 family bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom. The large landscaped garden is a very special place to eat alfresco, chill in the swing seat and enjoy direct beach access.
The house is only a short walk along the beach to the Harbour with its fish markets and café, and a 2 minute walk to Harbour Street with its bustling shops and restaurants.
The front door leads you into a large bright hallway. Leading off of the hallway is the spacious kitchen, dining area and chill out lounge.
The local handmade kitchen is fully equipped with range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer and larder cupboard. There is a separate utility room with butler sink, washing machine and condenser tumble dryer.
The dining area is furnished with a table and 8 chairs, traditional dresser and wall cabinets that house the crockery and glasses. There are also two wicker occasional chairs. Bi-fold doors open up for you to enjoy the garden and sea breeze.
The chill out lounge has a 3-seater sofa, church pew seating, occasional chair and an open fire for you to relax in front of in the winter months. There is also a full size pool table for you to enjoy. Another set of bi-fold doors lead you to the garden.
The garden has been landscaped beautifully and offers a dining area, chill out areas including swing seat and hammock, fire pit with BBQ grill and direct beach access.
Off the hallway there is also a downstairs cloakroom and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 1 (with ensuite): There is a spacious double bedroom on the ground floor furnished with a king size bed, bedside table and lamp, dressing table, built in wardrobes with hanging space and shelves. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with bath and over head shower, basin and wc.
Wooden stairs take you up to the charming spacious lounge with its tall wooden clad ceiling, large picture windows and bi-fold doors that open out to a private balcony with sea views and deckchairs. The lounge is furnished with a 2 & a 3-seater sofa, 2 occasional chairs, large wooden trunk, TV & DVD player and is decorated with wonderful pictures, a book library and fun ornaments. It's the perfect place to relax in front of the open fire with friends and family in the winter, or to enjoy the sun streaming through the windows in the summer.
Leading off the lounge, you have 3 bedrooms ( 1 ensuite) and a family bathroom.
Bedroom 2 (with ensuite): The master bedroom is located at the rear of the house and enjoys extensive sea views as well as access via bi-fold doors to the balcony. The bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, dressing table and chair. It also enjoys an ensuite shower room with large walk in shower, basin and wc.
Bedroom 3: This twin bedroom is located at the side of the house and furnished with two standard single beds, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe and enjoys a partial sea view.
Bedroom 4: This twin bedroom is located at the front of the house (street-side) and is furnished with two standard single beds, chest of drawers, bedside table and wardrobe.
The family bathroom is very spacious and has a roll top bath and a very large walk in shower area, basin and wc.
Parking is a little tricky for this house but once you are parked up there would be no reason to leave. You can off load your car in Island Wall (restricted parking) and then either park in nearby Cornwallis Circle or Nelson Road (5 minute walk), or pay to park in Keam's Yard car park just 1 minute's walk from the house. Alternatively you can pre pay for a private parking space through www.justpark.com.
Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of £15. However, under no circumstances are dogs permitted on the sofa or chairs. Dogs must not be left unattended in properties, or elsewhere and should be exercised outside the property gardens or grounds. If you do not adhere to these conditions, some of the cautionary deposit may be retained by the owner.
This is a strictly non-smoking property.
As per our Booking Conditions we ask all guests to be respectful of the neighbours, as all of the holiday homes are located in residential areas. We are aware that you may be celebrating a special event during your stay, but ask again that you are respectful of local residents especially with regard to noise levels. Please also note that we do not accept hen or stag parties at this property.
The number of people using the holiday property is not to exceed the maximum number stated. This includes entertaining friends who are not on the guest list over to the property during your stay without prior consent from the Owner. Whitstable Holiday Homes Ltd and the Owner reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if the maximum number is not observed and in such a case no refund will be given.
Children under 2 years are not normally counted for this purpose.
RENTAL PERIODS: Weekly rentals from Friday - Friday during school holidays. Weekend and mid-week breaks available in low and shoulder seasons.
PRICE INCLUDES: Linen and Towels, Winter Heating, Logs for the fire in Winter, WiFi and all utilities
PRICE EXCLUDES: Dog Board £15 - Booking Fee £30
