Stylish Cottage in the heart of Whitstable
"We've stayed in this house twice now and I am already looking forward to planning my next stay! I love this house. It's in the perfect location for the high street but in a quiet street. The effort put into presenting the house is excellent and I always leave feeling sad because it is so well done. The bed is comfortable importantly. Everything is always perfect!" R Benson
"Stayed at Barnacle Drift for a New Years Eve by the sea. A wonderful cottage which felt like home, all the amenities we needed and a lovely wood burner for a very special time. A walk along the beach for lunch at The Sportsman was the perfect New Years Day antidote, highly recommended. Thank you we will be back again. "Max
"We had a lovely weekend at Barnacle Drift. The cottage was a perfect size for our group of 5 (3 adults and 2 children) with comfortable beds for all! The wood burning stove was lovely in the evening and the cottage was cosy throughout our whole stay. Location is perfect for both the lovely town and beach - we would definitely stay again!"Emma
This charming 3 bedroom mid-terraced cottage has been lovingly restored and stylishly furnished with an eclectic mix of furniture and local art.
This 3 storey cottage is located in the heart of Whitstable's conservation area, just minutes from the shops, restaurants and beach. Perfect for family and friends.
The front door leads you directly in to the lounge, with its wood burning stove, two sofas and Freeview TV with DVD player.
This leads through to the fitted galley kitchen with dishwasher, large range gas cooker, microwave, washing machine and large fridge/freezer.
The dining room has been furnished with a wooden table and 6 chairs and painted dresser.
The odern bathroom is downstairs and is equipped with a bath and overhead shower, basin and toilet.
The back door takes you out to the decked courtyard garden with patio furniture.
The first floor is accessed by steep stairs and therefore may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or very young children.
The front bedroom has a wrought iron framed double bed, bedside tables and lamps, two built in wardrobes and dressing table.
The second bedroom has a double bed, bedside table and lamps, bedside table and lamp, chest of drawers and pegrail for hanging clothes.
The attic room has two single beds, chest of drawers and peg rail. Please note the attic bedroom is accessed by a narrow and steep staircase and in our opinion is not suitable for very young children or those with mobility issues
Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of £15. However, under no circumstances are dogs permitted upstairs or on the sofa or chairs. Dogs must not be left unattended in properties, or elsewhere and should be exercised outside the property gardens or grounds. If you do not adhere to these conditions, some of the cautionary deposit may be retained by the owner.
This is a strictly non-smoking property.
The staircase is very steep and in our opinion makes this cottage unsuitable for those with limited mobility. The attic twin room is also accessed by a steep and narrow staircase making it not ideal for very young children to sleep in as a stairgate cannot be fitted across the bedroom door.
